Protiviti’s value of inclusion means they are committed to an inclusive recruiting process. In summer 2020 they evolved graduate recruiting to find diverse new hires including a partnership with national nonprofit INROADS and growing their recruiting team

Protiviti’s partnership with INROADS, a non-profit that connects talented, underrepresented youth with career opportunities, started in the summer of 2020 in their Chicago office. The partnership has expanded over time to reach additional students and universities.

Protiviti’s value of inclusion means that they are also committed to an inclusive recruiting process which creates diverse pipelines for all positions through a variety of growing sources, provides all candidates with a consistent interview process that helps to remove bias and allows for unique experiences for all candidates.

The firm took several steps to create strategic change in their graduate recruiting program:

  • Instead of hiring candidates that are a “culture fit,” Protiviti hires candidates that are a “culture add” and bring diversity of thought to their teams
  • Instead of trying to stretch existing recruiting capacity while expanding recruiting strategy and sources, Protiviti grew their recruiting team to allow for intentional focus on diverse candidate pipelines, INROADS and HBCUs
  • Instead of spending the vast majority of their time recruiting on campus at large state and private universities, Protiviti took a hybrid approach and expanded their focus to also include partnering with INROADS, recruiting at HBCUs, diversity conferences, diversity career fairs and directly via LinkedIn and Handshake
