As part of our Invest Together initiative with Just Act Partners (led by Matt Johanson and Juatise Gathings), Corporate Coalition members and partners visited sites across Chicago’s South and West sides.
Participants were inspired by:
▪ The Xchange, a partnership between Corporate Coalition member SDI Presence, Gary Comer Youth Center, P33 Chicago, which allows companies to contract their IT services to motivated talent in Greater Grand Crossing
▪ Revive 63, a flagship development in Woodlawn that will soon house the Bessie Coleman Library and other office and retail space led by Corporate Coalition Leadership Council member, DL3 Realty
▪ The K, a social innovation hub that will provide a blend of office and retail space, alongside entrepreneurship and workforce programming developed for and by West Garfield Park residents powered by The Garfield Park Rite to Wellness Collaborative (GPRWC)
▪ The Fillmore Center, which will house a commercial laundry and other office space, bringing 250 jobs to the heart of North Lawndale in partnership with Steans Family Foundation
Invest Together works with Chicago employers who might be willing to move jobs to the South and West sides, and then matching those employers with development projects seeking corporate tenants.
